For years, Basil tried to capture him and Basil had come close, so very close, but each time, he’s nearly evaded Basil’s grasp. Mr. Ratigan lived in a hidden underground palace that was by the Sewers of London and located at the Sewers of London that was not a corner of London’s safe, while located at his at large, there was no mean and evil scheme he would not concoct, no depravity he would not commit, who knows what dastardly scheme he would be plotting even as Basil and Dr. Dawson and Olivia speak. Basil and Dr. Dawson found another distraught and too sad client with another mystery when Mr. Flaversham and Olivia went out to catch their train.
