ALL POSTSJeremy Brett - I apologize
<p>To me, the Granada Television Series is the quintessential Sherlock Holmes production, and likewise, Jeremy Brett the living, breathing, flesh and blood Holmes.
</p><p>I adored the series, but broke off watching when I saw Mr. Brett's deterioration. I remember feeling disappointment that he should be falling apart like this in the character. I stopped watching altogether. (I was only 12 at the time)
</p><p>I come here, knowing now how Mr. Brett was suffering and his willingness to continue on, with words of apology for my childishness and that I am now watching the series again from the start.
</p><p>Mr. Jeremy Brett, my dear Mr. Sherlock Holmes, I hope you rest in peace and know that you have forever a fan.

<p>Oh, this is going to make me cry, I recently watched all of his episodes and movies, personally his is the best portrayal of the great detective yet (besides Benedict Cumberbatch).

Since my childhood I am great fan and admirer of Mr.Sherlock Holmes & Mr.Brett made successful effort to bring Mr. Holmes alive by all his mannerisms. Thanks Sir.

<p>It was pretty sad that his death caused the end of the series, if he had not died and even his wife, then the series would have continued on (like Poirot) or if Mr.Brett was replaced by Roger Moore, then there would have been newer episodes

<p>He died before I was born, and I think that he was taken away early... Hopefully he is in a better place.

<p>I agree, i was born in 1999 after he died in 1995, and i did discover that Underground Toys are making a Sherlock Holmes action figure, but would be based on the modern day era Holmes, and not the Granada counterpart that i am more loved.

<p>I agree, I remember when learning Jermey Brett died in 1995 while surfing the interweb in 2012, it ruined my childhood, I watched the Brett Holmes when I was a child, and it one thing that makes me sad is that ITV edited the series to have an ITV Studios copyright and endboard in place of the original Granada ones, If he had not died and had not aged, then the series would have continued, but if he died and the series continued after his death, then the role would go straight to Roger Moore and I have learned that both Moore and Brett are 1.85 m tall, meaning that Moore could have continued the show had it not ended </p>
