Here's an idea. They would kill Mycroft so that Sherlock would go through a huge loss just like John did. Then Sherlock would be seen really needing his best friend just like John did in series four when mary died. BOOM!

That's giving me hope but also kinda sad for Sherlock having to deal all this and Mycroft being dead

I think neither. If any one of them does, then probably that will be the last season. Both are equally important to Sherlock. Remember how he couldn’t kill either in The Final Problem?

Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat literally killed Amanda Abington ( Mary Watson) becuz Sherlock is supposed to be just John Watson and Sherlock Holmes.

And if Mycroft dies, Sherlock will die too, cuz literally, he covers every mess Sherlock makes. "Your loss would break my heart".
