I've seen that many people keep saying that Mary broke Sherlock's heart by marrying John, but how many of you have ever thought about the love Sherlock has for Mary and vice versa?
For example, when they first meet, Mary says she likes Sherlock and its quite evident that he does too. Later on, Mary has so much fun with Sherlock, talking about the wine, excitedly holding his hand, and her very jolly interaction about Sholto with him. When she helped him save Sholto, he kissed her on the forehead with so much joy. Later on, when she shot Sherlock, I kinda felt that the reason Mary took the bullet for Sherlock was because she felt guilty for shooting him. And she told Sherlock that she liked him before her last breath. You could see the unshed tears in Sherlock's eyes when he regrets not moving away from the bullet. After that also, he is deeply affected by Mary's death. When Sherlock was about to leave in the plane, that small moment between the two was so tender. And the reason Sherlock shot Magnussen was because he wanted her to be safe. How is that not love? And the even bigger thing was, he trusted her when she asked him to save John and told him that he would come when Sherlock needed him most. They both love each other with no bounds. They trust each other, and John trusts them both.
I think that the relationship between Sherlock and Mary is lovely, and I don't agree with the people that said that Mary broke Sherlock's heart.
Upvote if you agree.
Thank you.
Goodbye.
