Sherlock has said that once you've eliminated the impossible, whatever remains no matter how improbable, must be the truth. He'll be skeptical of course but once he sees pictures of Urlich or Mikkel from the past, he would have no choice but to accept time travel as possible. It would certainly be interesting to see him grapple with that!
