Hey! This is to whoever reached out on my user page

I am a widow and Sherlock fan! I’d love to discuss things with you! (Especially Sherlock as not many people are active!).

English is my first language (I can speak fluent Russian- just a ridiculous coincidence, I’m not a window..I don’t think. And French but would prefer to keep it in english!

Please tag me on the marvel wiki if you’d like to! I don’t actively comment there as to avoids spoilers (I’m watching them in release order and am on Infinity war. The next one is ant man and the wasp. Obviously black widow wasn’t in order but she’s too awsome to be in order)

The Science of Deduction website has returned

(I think so, at least)

I'm a pretty new fan (if I can even call myself that) so sorry if I get anything wrong.

About a month back, I was disappointed to find that Sherlock's blog (https://thescienceofdeduction.co.uk/) did not exist anymore while the other characters' blog were still mostly fine. More recently, (within the past week?) it seems to have returned? There's basically no content on it anymore, and it looks quite different, but at least it's possible to connect to it.

Idk if I was the only one experiencing difficulties connecting to it though.

Also sorry if this has got anybody's hopes up for no reason / turns out to be nothing ><

Always bugged me that the convict was afraid of the rope of all things. Although the scene is more about grammar than pronunciation it does have the same vibe. My Fair Lady (1964) for you folks.

In search of recommendations

For lack of a better word, I'd say I'm Sherlocked. I watched the whole series (am painfully resisting to rewatch it so soon after), read unhealthy loads of fan fiction, and yet I'm still craving... more. It's the second time in my life I've been so deep in a story and it's kinda killing me. So I want to ask if you lot could recommend me another story to take my mind off Sherlock for a while. It can be a book, movie, TV series, anime, I don't really care. It should have a loveable duo (romantic, platonic, whatever, but with a great chemistry; doesn't need to be MxM) for protagonists, some action, humour, an interesting and smart (i. e. not utterly stupid) plot. The relationship between the protags should obviously be at least slightly different from Johnlock, otherwise this all loses purpose. xD Already tried Good Omens (didn't click with me) and Hannibal (creeped me out - don't give me abusive relationships pls). Thank you very much for any and all suggestions!

Any ideas about "The Six Thatchers"?

I know the trailer for season 4 has been out for several months now, but I still haven´t heard any plausible theories about it.( And I haven´t seen any speculation on this Wiki, so if there already is an ongoing dicussion, I´m sorry for creating this blogpost.) If you haven´t seen the trailer yet, google it, Season 4 will be out January 1st, 2017! So, some of the things possibly everyone saw, but I don´t have a clue about; Did anybody wonder if the women in the hospital were old girlfriends? And what would they be doing there, they weren´t really important. Anyone who wondered if it was Mary in the somewhat arabian looking veil, just with black hair? Maybe she really is Morstan, the side-kick of Moriarty.. I found the kicking-and-sort-of.dancing-around fight scene with Sherlock, and Billy?,sort of ridiculous. Like the car driving scene? Far too much stupid action, not enough John, not enough Sherlock being bored. Then, yet another pool. Just like the one with Moriarty? And in one scene, don´t we just get to see the back of Moriarty´s head? Just without all the blood and the huge hole in it? And who is the "new" villain (if Moriarty won´t be back, like really alive-back)? The one with the evil laughter? "Maybe it´s Moriarty, maybe it´s not"- does it mean he will be back or not? Remember, "it´s never twins". And what is the title of the first episode, "The six thatchers", referring to? I just read the canon "Six Napoleons", but I can´t make the connection. Did you notice more things? Did you deduce something? Brilliant! Fascinating! Tell me!

Why did Mary want Sherlock and John to find a case for each other in TSoT?

First I thought that was because she wanted them to spend some time together. Now that her true face has been revealed it doesn't seem to be so obvious. She acted as if she wanted to get rid of her fiancee and his friend for a while from the flat. Nobody seems to pay attention to this detail. Could there be something behind it? And those horns...

Wy did Moriarty commit suicide?

My questions. Why did Moriarty kill himself? Out of insanity? Could there be a different answer than the one we have already been given? Did he REALLY want Sherlock to commit suicide? Did he believe it would actually happen? What do you think? Remember those words: "IT IS NOT THE FALL THAT KILLS YOU. IT IS NEVER THE FALL. IT'S THE LANDING". Was it a reference to Moriarty's faked death or Sherlock's? As if Moriarty KNEW that his enemy wouldn't die (he told him only to 'fall') What does it mean? Either Moriarty was aware that his own real death would somehow affect Sherlock's life after some time, that it would result in something different in the future or he never truly intended to kill his enemy. We cannot think of what will happen if the first option is correct (interesting and the most probable, but the results are unpredictable). How strange it was. Sherlock wasn't aware of Moriarty's existence before ASiP though the latter knew him quite well. It was the cabbie who gave the criminal's name away. Then Sherlock started to mess with Moriarty in TBB making him annoyed enough to start that 'game' in the third episode which was partially ment to scare the enemy off. JM revealed himself in the end, told SH to 'piss off' (to no avail) and even tried to kill him. Later in ASiB he changed his mind COMPLETELY and started to play with the brothers, eventually leading to his own inprisonment in THoB (was it on purpose?). He and Mycroft met to exchange information. We all remember what happened next. Moriarty WAS 'changeable' and insane. But in the episodes 4-6 he really acted strangely, as if he had completely nothing to lose. Some theory (one of them): he really somehow 'lost' everything before TRF. With Sherlock causing trouble and Mycroft involved in the case he could be forced to disappear. The best way to do that was probably a 'suicide' that anyone would believe in. He wanted it to be the most obvious case in the world to SH and MH. That is why he made Sherlock a witness. Maybe he didn't want to kill him, he only intended him to THINK that it was his plan. Moriarty tried to distract his enemies' attention from HIS OWN SUICIDE. Destroying Sherlock's life and reputation in TRF and leading to his fall was in fact only a cover for his own faked death. "HE'S TRYING TO DISTRACT ME, DERAIL ME". It could be only THE NAME 'Moriarty' that really died, not the man himself. In this case the directors and the cast are not lying AND the character can be somehow alive. It was what really happened to Moriarty in some book. He literally PLANNED his 'suicide' with Sebastian Moran and involved Holmes in the case (also because it would be more interesting and 'funny' if he was a witness). JM indeed fell from the waterfall, but as a mathematician he managed to survive ;) Reference here: "HIS BODY WAS NEVER RECOVERED" - "TO BE EXPECTED WHEN ONE PUSHES A MATHS PROFESSOR OFF THE WATERFALL". Holmes was convinced that his enemy had died. When SH was away JM returned and fulfilled the second bigger part of his plan, then (laughing at Sherlock's BIG mistake) managed to rebuild his network elswhere, more powerful than ever before.

What new things do we know now that might give us a few hints about Moriarty's return, his death and Season4 after watching the episode The Abominable Bride?

The Abominable Bride - Sherlock special episode!

So, we've had promo images and a few different trailers, who's looking forwards to the Sherlock special? I can't wait to see them in the victorian era, should be really interesting.
