"The Adventure of the Bruce-Partington Plans"[]

When top secret military plans are stolen from Woolwich Arsenal, apparently by a young clerk named Cadogan West who is later found dead on the railway tracks, Mycroft Holmes sends his brother a list of possible suspects to assist him. Meyer is mentioned, along with Louis La Rothière and Hugo Oberstein, as one of the only foreign agents in the city who would attempt such an audacious theft. However, Holmes' attentions are soon turned towards Oberstein, who is revealed to be the true culprit.
