Brian Horace Clemens OBE (30 July 1931 – 10 January 2015) was a British screenwriter and television producer, possibly best known for his work on, Danger Man, The Avengers, Adam Adamant and The Professionals.

He wrote the script for the 1988 play Holmes and the Ripper, that feature Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson investigating the Whitechapel murders committed by the mysterious Jack the Ripper. The play was adapted into a 2010 audio drama for Big Finish's Sherlock Holmes series with Clemens adapting the script himself.[1]

Clemens is related to Mark Twain (Samuel Langhorne Clemens), a fact reflected in the naming of his two sons, Samuel Joshua Twain Clemens and George Langhorne Clemens.
