CBS Broadcasting Inc. (CBS) is a major US commercial broadcasting television network.
CBS started as a radio network and continues to operate a radio network and a portfolio of large market television and radio stations. The name is derived from the initials of the network's former name, Columbia Broadcasting System. It is the second largest broadcaster in the world behind the BBC.
