Heilbronn is a city located on the Neckar River in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the southern part of Germany. It is considered to be the second most important industrial city in Württemberg, and is one of the larger commercial hubs of southwestern Germany.

History[]

After witnessing the murder of Alfred Meinhard in Paris, Sherlock Holmes realised that Professor James Moriarty had arranged the assassination in order to take over his weapons empire. Resolved to chase him, he found himself stuck when the borders between France and Germany were closed over the incident. However, with the help of Madame Simza Heron and her Gypsy friends, he and Dr John Watson managed to sneak into Germany on horseback and get to Heilbronn a short time after Moriarty. Once in the city they made their way to the heavily-guarded, walled compound of the Meinhard Munitions Factory, where Holmes prepared to confront Moriarty.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Heilbronn is currently located in the state of Baden-Württemberg, and is known today for its vineyards.
