Summary[]
A hedge fund manager who ran a Ponzi scheme is killed moments before committing suicide. The woman who finds the body is a former sober client of Joan's. She refuses to allow Joan to reveal their relationship, hindering the investigation when the client's former drug dealer becomes the main suspect. Sherlock and Joan prove that the hedge fund manager was turning over evidence to a reporter that contained information about another crime, and he was killed to stop that information from becoming public. Meanwhile, Alfredo tries to get Sherlock to become a sponsor because of the detective's feelings of guilt over Bell's shooting. Bell is offered a desk job with the Demographics Unit, for an unspecified period.
