Lot No. 249 was an episode of the long-running BBC anthology horror series A Ghost Story for Christmas. Broadcast on December 24, 2023, it was written and directed by Mark Gatiss, and adapted from Arthur Conan Doyle's 1892 short story. Despite the original story being a standalone piece not featuring Sherlock Holmes, the adaptation includes an unnamed character clearly intended to be the great detective.[1]
