Nicholas Briggs (born 29 September 1961) is an English actor, writer, director, sound designer and composer. He is best known for his long association with the BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, serving as the voice for numerous alien species, most frequently the Daleks and the Cybermen. He is also the executive producer for Big Finish Productions, which produces the official Doctor Who audio dramas, as well as others based on cult classic genre franchises such as Blake's 7, Dark Shadows and Thunderbirds.
Amongst these is a series of Sherlock Holmes titles, for which he also writes, produces, and directs, in addition to playing the title character himself.
