
Roy William Neill (4 September, 1887 – 14 December, 1946) was an Anglo-Irish film director and producer. He is best known for directing several of the Sherlock Holmes films starring Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce. He is also well known for directing over one hundred other films, including Cleopatra, Lady Raffles, and The Kiss Barrier.
