Character/Page name[]
Whilst this character is a version of Jefferson Hope do we know for certain that this characters last name is Hope? Isn't he just credited in the episode as "Jeff"? If so I think we should change the name of the article. Does anyone know if he is called Hope anywhere? --Amateur Obsessive (talk) 21:44, January 26, 2014 (UTC)
- Fairly interesting question. In fact everyone in the fandom refers to him as "Jeff Hope". Like this. I was so intrigued by the fact that I sticked my DVD immediately. Though we'll probably need someone with blu-ray for confirmation, I have a version: Jeff has an ID card. Maybe his surname is there? Also what was his credit in an unaired pilot? - I wondered if he might have an ID card visible in the episode - if he does I might try and get a screen cap of it.
- I'm guessing people in fandom might be calling him Jeff Hope because of the connection with the canon character - as well as the similarities between the characters I think Moffat and Gatiss explicitly say on the DVD extra for that episode that he is based on Jefferson Hope, so that might be why people call him that. Of course if he is called Hope somewhere and I've just forgotten I stand corrected!
