Filming locations[]
Like in most of the series, locations meant to portray the original story's southern England setting often actually utilised the north of England for both exterior and interior filming, albeit on carefully chosen sites. For this particular episode, some of the filming was also carried out in East Anglia and abroad, in Malta. One of the major filming sites for the episode was Allerton Park in North Yorkshire, another was Burgh Castle in Norfolk. [1] [2] [3] [4]
